Why is tsunami footage the most popular item here? I downloaded more footage of it than is available here via bittorrent for the viewing "pleasure" (if you would call it that) of some of my peers. But why would people search the internet archive for such things? I suppose it is some mass occurance equivalent to "rubbernecking" at highway accidents only applied to global catastrophic events and the human desire to witness such disasters firsthand, or in this case via video footage. Any thoughts?

I believe the downloads depend on the section most people are visiting. Before I uploaded anything to this site, I would download videos from the Prelinger Archive. There existed a completely different group of people visiting there on an active basis. This same event happened last year when the election 2004 area was the most popular. Different people visit the site regularly depending on if college is in session, or if people are on vacation, ect.

Like myself, I have not visited here since I started back to college. The only reason I am logged on tonight, is because a college peer told me about the negative reviews I was receiving at the site.

To all, lesson learned, do not let another person upload videos for you. Sorry about the problems this one time friend may have caused.
